Agreement
Seek Boston is operated by Christian Sebo (“Seek Boston,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These terms govern your use of Seek Boston's app, website, accounts, cloud sync, and collaborative planning features. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must approve your use. You are responsible for your device, Apple ID, account activity, and keeping access credentials secure. Notify support promptly of suspected unauthorized access. Do not create an account for someone else or evade a suspension.
Travel information is not a guarantee
Seek Boston is a planning aid, not a reservation, emergency, medical, accessibility-certification, or safety service. Hours, prices, availability, accessibility, transit predictions, weather, routes, closures, and travel times can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Confirm important details with venues and official transportation or emergency authorities.
Navigation safety
Exercise independent judgment, obey laws and current signs, and do not interact with the app when unsafe or unlawful. You accept responsibility for route choices and related fares, tolls, parking, tickets, property access, and other costs. Call emergency services—not Seek Boston—during an emergency.
Your content and shared plans
You retain ownership of plan titles, notes, suggestions, memories, and photos you submit. You grant Seek Boston a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide license to store, back up, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to provide and secure the features you request, including showing shared-plan content to invited members. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to temporary backups and legal preservation.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you submit and that it does not violate privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights. Anyone with a valid invite code may be able to join the associated plan. Share codes only with people you want to invite. The plan owner controls the plan; deleting the owner's account can remove it for every member.
Acceptable use
You may not use Seek Boston to break the law; threaten, harass, stalk, exploit, or impersonate anyone; upload malware or unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or sexually exploitative content; disclose another person's sensitive information without permission; scrape or resell the service or provider data; probe security; bypass access controls or rate limits; interfere with operation; or use automated access except through an expressly authorized interface.
Third-party services and content
Apple, Supabase, Google Maps Platform, MBTA, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap-based providers, venues, and linked websites are independent services with their own terms. Google content is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms and Google Terms. Seek Boston does not endorse or control third-party content.
Service changes, enforcement, and termination
Features may change, be limited, or become unavailable. We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these terms. You may stop using the service, export available account data, and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seek Boston is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seek Boston is not liable for losses caused by inaccurate third-party information, unavailable services, missed reservations, or travel disruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Governing law and disputes
Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. Before filing a claim, contact legal@seekboston.com and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it informally.
General terms and changes
If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without consent; Seek Boston may transfer them with the service subject to applicable notice requirements. Updated terms will be posted here, with additional notice or consent for material changes when required.
